Descriptive note

  The file relates to the establishment of the Mission by the Church Missionary Association for Victoria, and its early operations. A copy of the annual report for 1911, copies of ‘The Aborigine’, October 1909 and May 1912, and reports by the Bishop of Carpentaria in June 1914 and Elsie Masson in 1913 are included.

Aborigines James and Angelina Noble and Horace Reid were among the establishing group under Reverend F L G Huthnance.
