Series note |
This series consists of the movement cards for the main correspondence files of the agency. It appears that files relating to these cards are held in both CRSB124 and CRSB13.
File number and title is given on one side of the card and in some cases reference numbers for records prior to 1979. The reference numbers such as seizure form numbers are used as a secondary reference only. File movements are recorded on the reverse of the cards. Information relating to the disposal (retention or destruction) is also noted on the cards. The majority of the cards are white.
The card system was replaced in 1988 when the registry file system was computerised. Records back to 1985 were transferred to the computer system and the cards for the period 1985 to 1988 were not retained.
