This series consists of white, blue and yellow positionhistory/occupancy cards (forms M 297 and M 296).
The cards were created by the Establishments Section to meet audit requirements and includes the following information:
Name of occupant;
Dates of occupancy (from - to);
Salary scale;
Variation of salary & date varied;
Authority to vary salary;
Departmental file reference;
Folio No.;
Date;
P.S.B. file reference / folio No. / date;
Date abolished / transferred where applicable;
Date duty statement reviewed;
Division in which position is held;
Branch / section / sub-section;
Designation (L/E (locally employed) if overseas staff);
Salary scale; and
Position No.
Cards were created in this series until 1988, however the establishments Data Base (P.I.E.S.) was established in 1982 and the information in this series was held both manually and electronically until 1988 when creation of cards ceased.
The series is divided into three groups:
Group A: Arranged by Designation
i.e. Clerk Class 11/10
Clerk Class 9/8
" " 6/5
" " 4/2/3
Clerical Assistants /Typists/Stenos
Specialist Positions (e.g.Phsycologists, etc)
Temporary Positions
Abolished Positions.
Group B: Arranged by Branch/Division
i.e. Executive Branch Through to Local Government.
Group C: Arranged by Country of O/Seas Post which are
Alphabetically Ordered
Arab Repubic of Egypt - Yugoslavia
This also include positions for staff who are locally
employed.
