Non-constituent correspondence
Function and purpose
This series consists of folders of correspondence addressed
to Mr Hawke or his parliamentary office from members of
the public, private organisations, Federal and State
government departments and Ministers and replies signed by Mr
Hawke or his electoral secretary and parliamentary staff. The correspondence
covers a wide variety of subjects and has been annotated as non-constituent
correspondence.

The records are grouped in alphabetical order at folder
level. The National Archives of
Australia has imposed a single number to these items.

non-constituents’ correspondence were transferred to the Sydney office of the National Archives of
