This Division investigates the physical and chemical processes affecting the quality and quantity of groundwater, including natural interactions between surface water, groundwater, soils and rocks, and responses to man-made factors such as mining, waste disposals, agricultural, artificial recharge and pumpage.
In 1987 the Division of Groundwater Research changed its name to Division of Water Resources Research and then later in 1987 changed its name to Division of Water Resources. In 1997 the Division was re-named to Land and Water.Historical agency address
