Function and purpose

This series consists of 3 acid-free folders containing handwritten indexes for volumes 2, 3 and 4 in CRS B5205, Pay ledgers for New South Wales Military Forces involved in the Boer War.

Australian Archives has marked the references on the outside of the folders. The indexes contain name, regimental number, rank and folio number. The system of arrangement is numerical by folio reference.

In 1989, this series was copied in full by the Australian Archives as part of its reprographic program.
