[This series consists of small index cards within a cardboard box labelled: "Box No. 4 Menzies - Holt Govt. 1950-1967". The cards were created in 1958 when the file series started, despite the date appearing on the outside of the container. The name of the person, organisation etc. appears at the top then the following elements of information: date (not always used); subject; file number. There is no reference to a submission or decision number. Printed at the bottom left of each card is "Cabinet index". The last card in the index, headed 'Xerography' is the only entry in the index which is not the name of a person, organisation or entity such as a ship.
