On 1 July 1988 the Australian Telecommunications Commission, State Office, South Australia divided into a number of Business Units. These Business Units reflect the various tasks peformed by Telecom Australia and enable each Unit to be accountable for its operations.  Some of these business units create and maintain their own records, although part of the Division, and have their own agency number.
