On 1 July 1988 the Australian Telecommunications Commission, State Office, South Australia divided into a number of business units. These business units reflect the various tasks performed by Telecom Australia and enable each Unit to be accountable for its operations.
The Broadcasting Division is responsible for the provision, operation and maintenance of television and radio transmission facilities for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and the Special Broadcasting Service. This work is funded through the Department of Transport and Communications.
