On 1 July 1988 the Australian Telecommunications Commission, State Office, S.A., divided into a number of Business units. These Business Units reflect the various tasks performed by Telecom Australia and enable each unit to be accountable for its operations.  

The Corporate Division was established to serve the needs of Telecoms' 200-300 largest customers. The Division comprises of five major areas. those being:

 Operations
 Advanced Communications Systems
 Systems Strategies
 Applied Technology
 
Operations is also responsible for the following areas:
 
 Finance
 Human Resources
 Customer Systems Engineering
 Sales and Installation
 Service
 Systems Administration
 Service Manager
 
Applied Technology is also responsible for:
 
 Defence Projects
 
In October 1992 the Country Division closed down and the Corporate Customers were included with this agency.  The Consumer Customers were transferred to the Metropolitan Division (CA 7145)
