System of arrangement and control

The records are mainly arranged by a multiple number with an ‘S’ (Secret) prefix, although most have been placed inside an individual folder with a single number typed on the outside. This single number has been entered as an alternate control symbol on RecordSearch. Other files have been entered with a single number control symbol only. On the outside of each container the item number range has been written instead of the actual multiple number with the ‘S’ prefix.
