Description of series:
This series contains nominal rolls of British migrants whom migrated into Brisbane under the Assisted Passenger Scheme. The Scheme was also referred to as the "Bring Out A Migrant" Scheme.

The records include 2 folders and one alphabetical register. The folders contain nominal rolls, which show: - nominators reference no., name of migrant, date of birth, religion, occupation. The name of the vessel and port and date of departure is also shown on the first page of each respective roll. The alphabetical register contains minimal information, which can be accessed in the folders. The inside cover lists 27 names of passengers, ship and date of arrival. The information on the 27 migrants is then expanded in the relevant alphabetical page. 

 
History Prior/Subsequent to Transfer:
"Prior to transfer-" Files are raised for nominal rolls, however, in the case, whilst respective files were raised, the spare copies, which generally are destroyed, were retained. It was considered they should be retained even though duplicate copies are held in relevant files. No damage was caused to the series through the floodwaters of January, 1974 (see BP384/1 for details).
