This series is a photocopy of a microfilmed register of various files created by CA 650, Commonwealth Investigation Service and CA 1297, Australian Security Intelligence Organization (ASIO). The microfilm of the register is currently held by ASIO and was probably created shortly after the microfilming of the files was completed in February/March 1968. 

The list itself consists of 56 A4 pages, each headed 'Microfilm Register' in the top right hand corner. The pages have columns headed title of file, file no, flash no, meter no., register amended, index amended, and amendments. Several of the file numbers have been blacked out by the agency for security purposes (these file numbers were exempt under s33 of the Archives Act 1983 at the time of transfer to Archives in September 1992). At the bottom of the page there is a film number and date block indicating when the list was filmed and when the film was processed, returned and checked, and date of file destruction.
