Series note
This series consists of scripts from the ABC's 'Kitchen Front' radio series. The Kitchen Front series was established during World War II to aid the battle on the home front. It was designed to advise housewives on the best and most efficient means of preparing food, in the face of restrictions and rationing.

The scripts themselves generally contain questions and answers about cooking, recommend recipes and ideas and advise on the best means of completing other jobs around the kitchen. It is assumed the Kitchen Front series was terminated by the ABC in 1948.
