Function and purpose

Shellac discs, speed 78 RPM, sizes 10" (483) and 12" (45), from the transcription libraries of Chappell, Weinburger, Francis Day and Hunter, EMI, Boosey and Hawkes, Paxton Video Harmonic, Synchro and Bosworth. The condition of the bulk of these discs is rather poor. With a few exceptions their condition would proclude their further use in a professional field.
