Correspondence and policy files dealing with the administration functions and actions of the Federal Programmes Department including Programmes policy, general administration, financial matters, planning, programme presentation and research, special sessions, concerts, musical and all other miscellaneous programmes, Education, rural, 25th Anniversary Programmes, Religious, Four Corners, Drama, Serials, Ballet, Hours of Transmission, etc.

History Prior/Subsequent to Transfer:
Prior to transfer: This Set was commenced in 1955 as a separate, but parallel system to the Radio files (Set 1), the only additional subject being Films instead of Records, Tapes and Transcriptions on the radio side. The classification numbers are somewhat confused as the development of Television rapidly spread beyond the original Primary Headings. In 1964, the classification was re-organised to parallel the Radio classification at least as far as the primary numbers.
