Description of series:
Groups of miscellaneous papers, documents and nominal rolls
pertaining to each ship/aircraft arriving at the Port of Sydney. Each group represents one ship/aircraft and size depends on number of assisted migrants arriving on each ship/aircraft. Each group
commences with nominal roll of migrants and then individual papers re each family group or individual. Papers and documents include application for assisted passage (Form LEMZ), medical examination (Form K), x-ray examination form and report.

Functions and Purpose

Repackaging of this series commenced in September 2011 and was completed in December 2011.  The items were repackaged into acid free folder, and containers.  Each individuals or families file were placed into folders and allotted a barcode.  Originally there were 6 boxes which expanded to 13 once the repackaging was complete.
