Jacketed and registered files containing correspondence of the Building Branch concerning: 1. Acquisition of sites. 2. Erection of buildings. 3. Alterations and additions to buildings. 4. Ancillary Services - this includes Post Offices, Telephone Exchanges, Staff Residences, Line Depots, Motor Vehicles Repair Shops, Stores and Transport Depots, Broadcasting Stations, etc. also covers leases of PMG Premises and Property to and from private firms and individuals.
History Prior/Subsequent to Transfer:
Prior to transfer: This set was originally created by Postal Services Branch - Inspection Branch and were transferred to Buildings Branch in January 1947. Related sets 1913-44 and 1913-50 (nominal dates) were transferred in 1950 (SP19) and 1956 (SP305).
