Description of series:
Registered files containing full history on acquisition, resumption and all details of sites in relation to Commonwealth property in New South Wales. The series is in two distinct parts each covering the same period, i.e. Bundles 1-16, 1-35.

History Prior/Subsequent to Transfer:
Prior to transfer: These files were originated by the Department of Home Affairs (Director General of Works) from 1909, later known as Department of Works and Railways (Lands & Surveys Branch), and later as Department of Interior (Property & Survey Branch). Files were decentralised to States several years after completion of action in Canberra.
