Description of series:
The files are a general series dealing with claims, surveys, sales, leases, inquiries, improvements, tenancies, resumptions, disposals, etc. They were created in Canberra but deal with NSW properties only.  
History Prior/Subsequent to Transfer:
Prior to transfer: The remarks recorded in the history for Series 1 apply with the exception of the final sentence. Nothing has been added to the files by the Sydney Branch so that the creating office remains the Property and Survey Branch, Department of Interior, Canberra. Despite the mixed registration numbers, the files
constitute a single series because the last order imposed upon them grouped them according to the subject without regard to the
significance of the different types (functional).
