Administrative information
This series consists of three associated groups of records;
1. Claim forms, assessments and payment of war damage claims by individuals and companies, The forms are pinned with a cover sheet or loose in folders and identified by a single number preceded by the location or a two letter code. This group includes records previously accessioned as SP149/1 and 2. Also included are bound annual copies of minutes of meetings of the Commission from 1942 to 1948, together with an index. There are also published reports, copies of Acts, regulations and procedures, and indexed albums of press cuttings.
2. Maps and plans, including originals on linen and tracing paper, as well as published. There are also photographs, surface and aerial, including some mounted on boards.
3. This group consists of a bound, indexed bundle (46 folios) of aerial photographic prints of Darwin, Thursday Island and localities in New Guinea and New Britain, dated from 1942 to ?1944. A total of 55 original glass plate negatives of photographs from the series are also held.
