The files deal with the survey, acquisition, disposal, resumption, tenancy, letting, leasing etc. of Commonwealth properties such as munitions factories, naval bases, land, and so on.
 
History Prior/Subsequent to Transfer:
Prior to transfer: The property function was decentralized from Canberra recently and these files, which all related to NSW, were sent to the Sydney Office as property falling within its sphere of control. It is a general series, containing all types of property files as indicated in the description) but otherwise the series is similar to those already transferred by the Sydney Office.
