Function and purpose

The Department of Media acted as co-ordinator in assembling material relating to the Darwin cyclone disaster. These reels are all ex ABC as per attached list.

This series contains audiovisual formats.  As audiovisual formats are either redundant or susceptible to deterioration, some items in this series have been copied to ensure their presentation.  Preservation copying involves the creations of preservation, duplicating and/or reference copies.  Preservation copies can be found in the following series:
