Description of series:
Documents in relation to each Alien registered in New South Wales. Documents  include Incoming Passenger Card, Forms RA, RA1 and RA2 which are applications in various forms under Aliens' Act. Also attached are District or Locality Cards of each Alien, Notification of Marriage and Changes of Address.

Some alien registration items have earlier completed registration forms stapled to them, dated from 1939 onwards, similar to the alien registration forms in series such as SP11/2.

This series also contains a 1948 exemption from registration (Form RA5), relating to Prince Axel of Denmark (1888-1964).  It appears to have been submitted in place of an alien registration form.  Other RA5s also appear in the series but in each case are attached to an alien registration form.
