This series contains forms A1 (form of Application for Registration), B1 (Certificate of Registration) and C (Notice of Change of abode), submitted to Alien Registration Officers.  Attached to each form A1 is a photograph of the applicant (unless specified otherwise).

The forms are arranged alphabetically by nationality, and within each nationality are envelopes for letters of the alphabet (eg American A-B, American C, American D-E, etc). 

During arrangement and description work, eight Philippines nationality alien registration forms were found located in the section of American forms.  The eight Filipino items have been kept in the American section.

Note: names have been arranged without regard to prefixes such as  'de', 'Da', 'van', etc. For example, D'Angelo will be found under A, and van Horn will be found under H.
