Function and purpose
These rolls are an alphabetical listing of all persons eligible to vote in Commonwealth elections and Referenda by federal electorates with further breakdown into sub divisions of the electoral division. The lists are in computer print-out form showing name address occupation and sex of the elector each entry is preceded by a sequentially arranged number, each page is numbered and dated in the top right hand corner. A Roll Additions List, duplicate and quadruplicate copy is included as an integral part of the overall compilation of the roll. These rolls are the working rolls of the subdivision/division and indicate action in respect of additions, deletions through death, changes of address etc.
The Electoral Act stipulates that the rolls are to be kept by the Electoral Registrar, rolls are compiled by Electoral staff in the relevant division and are the responsibility of the Divisional Returning Officer (more commonly known as DROs).

The rolls are housed in print-out binders, two separate black covers secured with a metal plate, plastic bindes and metal slide fasteners.

Series history
The whole series was targeted in 2017/18 for relocation to NAA Sydney. Records left NAA Perth premises in November 2017.
