Relationships with other records
This series forms part of a large group of records that
document the movement of people into and out of Western Australia comprising
incoming and outgoing passenger lists, nominal rolls, crew lists and passenger
cards.
Passenger lists for Western
Australia were originally transferred to the Archives
as a large number of individual accession series. For incoming passenger lists,
the accession series were converted to one CRS K269, maintaining the original
chronological order. However, for the period 1904 to 1935, incoming passenger
lists for outports remain as PP281/3 and PP240/3. For
outgoing passenger lists, two accession series were converted to form CRS K1142
covering the period 1898 to 1958 however multiple accession series still
control outwards ships manifests for the period 1898 to 1978. Intellectual
relationships have been documented using appropriate series links.
Nominal rolls, crew lists, outwards passenger lists and
passenger cards remain as individual accession series, and in some cases form
part of CRS K47. Consult the relevant series links for details.
