This series records applications and payments were made under the War Gratuity Act, 1945-1947. It consists of application forms attached to nomination of bank account forms. The attached papers are held in army number order and are not kept in file covers, being bundled together. The forms record the service number, postal address name of bank to which money was to be paid, branch of the service, period of
eligibility, reason for discharge, office calculations and amount paid.
