This series consists of copies of annual returns of Military Resources of Tasmania 1907-1920.

The returns consist of 3 parts: Form A Land Forces; Form B Small Arms and Guns on Travelling Carriages; and Form C Fixed Defences.

Entries in the returns include statistical data on active military forces, reserves and armed police, training, equipment and clothing suppliers, firearms, ammunition and armaments.

The records were originally deposited with the Archives Office of Tasmania (AoT) by Brigadier E M Dollery in 1965.  As a consquence they bear the AoT control symbol COM 1/4/1.  The records were transferred to Australian Archives custody in 1988.
