This series consists of registration papers for ships registered in the Port of Hobart. Among these papers are the following:
(1) declarations of ownership (form no. 5)
(2) statutory declarations;
(3) transfers of ownership;
(4) certificates of survey: and
(5) ships specifications - for most ships they provide the following information:
 name of the vessel;
 names of the owners;
 owners occupation, residence and place of birth; and
 various dimensions of the ship (length, breadth and tonnage).
