This series consists of four files, two 2-ring binders and two Lever Arch files. They are titled as follows: (1) Darwin re-entry permits, April-June 1975, A-L; (2) Darwin entry permits, 18 Mar 1975 - 17 Jun 1975, A-Z; (3) Record of persons returned to Darwin, A-Z; and (4) Darwin re-entry permits records, employers/employees, Feb 1975 - Jun 1975, A-L. They are hand ruled and written. Under the Ordinance of the Northern Territory of Australia No 1 of 1975, assented to 9 January 1975, the Director of Emergency Services was given powers to: 'control entry of persons into, or the departure from, the cyclone disaster area' (s10(1)(o)).
