Series note
The reports in this series contain procedural and equipment technical and test reports, memoranda, correspondence, and statistics created as part of the charter of postwar reconstruction to assist industrial postwar development. Various subjects are covered in the reports, for example: the Fischer Tropsch coal extraction process; utilization of bamboo in Japan; test of various synthetic and fibrous materials; various Japanese industries and products; manufacture of chemical substances; testing of equipment for various primary industries; technical information to do with metallurgy, chemical, and a range of products. It would appear that the records in this accession have been amalgamated from more than one registry system, as there are three different numbering systems employed. The first is a single number system covering the range 25 to 46. The second is a consecutive single number system with "T1" prefix, e.g., T1/1, T1/2, and so forth. The third appears to be a corruption of the second, retaining the "T1" prefix with alphabetical or subject heading suffix, e.g., T1/N/, T1 General.
