Series note
Description of series:
Five volumes containing daily record of activities of Chief Censor relating to the enforcement of the war time censorship regulations. Entries relate mainly to correspondence sent and received.
 
History Prior/Subsequent to Transfer:
These diaries were stored at Victoria Barracks until transferred to Archival custody by the Military Board Secretariat of the Department of the Army. Until 1939 it was under the Department of Defence but in that year a separate Department of the Army was set up.
