Description of Series:
 
These records comprise three folders of roneoed papers sent to Mr N.W. Hartnell, the representative of the Division of Industrial Development, by the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Nations Scientific Liaison Officers, London, by which organisation they were prepared, and containing agenda, preliminary details and copies of papers prepared for consideration at the British Commonwealth Scientific Conference held at Canberra in February, 1952.  


History Prior to Transfer: These papers were held in the Division of
Industrial Development, Department of National Development until the abolition of that Division in 1956. They were then taken over by the Industries Division of the Department of Trade, by which Department they were transferred to archival custody.
