History Prior/Subsequent to Transfer:
These files are part of a series which originated with the Secondary Industries Division of the Department of Post-War Reconstruction. It was taken over by the Division of Industrial Development of the Department of National Developme- nt when that Department was established in 1950. In 1956 the Division of Industrial Development was merged in the industries Division of the newly formed Department of Trade and this series ceased.
