Description of series:
These records are roneoed lists of agenda submitted to the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Secondary Industries, bound as files. Each file of agenda relates to one meeting, and the files are in chronological order. Each is prefaced by one or more typed sheets headed "Business Paper", listing the agenda items numbered in order of appearance, their subject matter and original control number, according the annual single number system in which the agenda were created. On each file, the agenda are filed in order of appearance, with tabbed red dividers bearing the single number indicating the order in which the items were dealt with. Some agenda are accompanied by appended background papers.

History Prior/Subsequent to Transfer:
Originally held by the Secondary Industries Division of the
Department of Post-War Reconstruction these records were taken over by the Division of Industrial Development in 1947. When that latter Division, subsequently under the Department of National Development, was abolished in 1956 its records were taken over by the newly created Department of Trade, by which these records were transferred to archival custody.
