This series consists of one volume of file listings and was used originally to record the disposal of invention models. It is titled 'File Location Book - Army Inventions Directorate' and lists all files in MP76/1, MP76/2 and MP76/4. A note attached to the inside of the front cover inserted prior to the transfer of the records to the National Archives reads: 

This book originally related to A.I.D. models only. All models have now been sent back to inventors or to salvage (indicated on files concerned, or on G.111 respectively). However, from 1st Sept, 1946, only green pencil note against the numbers printed in this book will refer to location of files and not models. Numbers without green notation are in Army Reg. P.A. Nos 1 to 20380 (Files covering actual investigations) "M" files listed (also L.P. files) on last page. "G" files will be seen in General Book.

The volume is green in colour with suede spine and corners.
