Series history
This series was transferred to archival custody on 13 May 1974. It remained uncontrolled until allocated the accession number AA1985/247 on 15 April 1985. Conversion to the series M4249 was completed on 7 August 2001.

The series was probably originally held in the office of the Prime Minister's Press Secretary (A Eggleton).

Additional information
This series consists of two items including speeches given by Harold Edward Holt in the second year of his Prime Ministership. Although mostly undated, the speeches appear to have been given in the two-month period September to October 1967. They relate to motor vehicle production, tariff policy, mining and development in Queensland and Western Australia. The series also includes comments made by Malcolm Fraser (then Minister for the Army) on Australia's commitment to the Vietnam War.
