This series consists of folders of speeches, talking points, notes and briefs. A variety of subjects are covered. Included are speeches delivered by Mr Hawke at various official functions, conferences and seminars. The papers include ANU Resources Seminar, transcripts and speeches of overseas trips, briefs for the National Press Club, Economic Statement Brief, Current Issues Brief, address at Parliamentary Dinner on the occasion of the first sitting of the new Parliament House etc. 

A single number system of arrangement and control was imposed on the folders by Australian Archives.
