This series consists of approximately 1200 photographs taken by various official organisations such as the Australian Information Service and photographic agencies of foreign governments, which highlight aspects of Mr Whitlam's term as Prime Minister.

The photographs were arranged by Mullins, Clark and Ralph (NSW) Pty Ltd, advertising agents for the Australian Labor Party. The photographs are arranged in chronological order, by subject with guide cards attached. There are also a number of unidentified photographs located at the end of the series.

This series contains audiovisual formats. As audiovisual formats are either redundant or susceptible to deterioration, some items in this series have been copied to ensure their preservation.
