Series note |
This series contains drawings relating to various Queensland lightstations. Within the series are drawings of buildings, conversion to unattended, foundations, lighthouse vessels, optics, structures and towers.
The drawings are controlled by an alpha numeric system with drawings covering the period 1856 to 1915 (created by the Colony of Queensland) top numbered into this system.
Some of the plans were top numbered into J2776 (Lightstation drawings, two number series with 'QN' [Queensland Navaids] prefix) and given a new control number by the agency
A large percentage of the drawings in the series are in poor condition and require conservation repair work and encapsulation prior to issue to researchers.
