This series consists of photographic prints contained in three albums illustrating various types of country, stations, station life, machinery, stock, and other aspects of interest of the pastoral activities of the Northern Territory. The photographs were obtained as a result of the Report of the Northern Territory Pastoral Leases Investigation Committee. The material in this series was previously accessioned as CP765/1. The series date range on this registration was ended arbitrarily by the Australian Archives during a review in 1993/94 as no consignments for this series had been transferred for more than five years. If a further consignment is transferred, the date range will be revised in line with agency advice.

In January 2000 negatives of the photographs were made and reference sets were created by photocopying the original albums. These reference sets are available in the Darwin and Canberra Offices.
