This series comprises aerial survey photographs of localities within the general vicinity of Katherine Research Station in which scientists from the station were carrying out research.

The photographs are black and white and for some 'runs' there are two copies of prints.  Where this is the case one copy is unmarked and the other often has particular features highlighted in red pencil. It is not known when the photographs were taken; it is assumed to be either during the 1950s or 1960s.
