This series consists of aerial photographs of what appears to be areas of South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. The aerial photographs contain the following information on the right hand side of the photograph. Survey number, time taken, height above sea level and frame number.
The aerial photographs have written in ink information about the aerial photograph, ie Bench Mark number, direction of north and town or station. Most of the photographs have glued on the back the Bench Mark Summary and a Locality Sketch.
Where the Bench Mark Summary and Locality Sketch are not attached to the back of the aerial photographs, they are bundled up or filed loosely with the photographs.
Included in this series are copies of Vertical Control Maps showing Bench Mark positions.
It appears that this work was carried out by the Surveyor General of South Australia, Department of Lands, South Australia.
