Series note

This series relates to Army Pay files of representatives of the Y.M.C.A., Red Cross, Salvation Army, Department of Commerce and Agriculture, War Correspondents' and Civilians working for B.C.O.F. press and printing unit.

The records contain a variety of information relating to Entitlements and personal particulars. Information includes details of payments, pay books and variations to wages, Wills, Next of Kin and Allottee extract of Pay books, details of allotments, application for War Gratuity payments, Statement of Accounts, Advice of Discharge, Pay ledger and History card related correspondence.

The file covers are buff coloured and show the Members Army number, Surname and Christian name. The records are controlled by an alpha numeric numbering system.
