Series note

This series consists of Army members Command Pay files (SP prefix refers to South Australian permanent forces enlisted before World War 2). Examples include change of status after discharge from 2nd AIF, member seconded to 2nd AIF. Typical records detail payments of servicemen's wages and variations to wages. The type of records include Pay books, Wills, Next of Kin and Allottee extract of Pay Books, Applications for War Gratuity payments, Statement of Accounts, Advice of Discharge, Repatriation personal particulars, Schedule of Accumulated credit payable on Discharge, Pay Ledger and History card and related correspondence.

The file covers are buff coloured showing: Members Army Number, Surname and Christian Name. The records are controlled numerically with an "SP" prefix
