Series note	This series consists of correspondence files documenting the day to day administration of the Peace Officer Guard, Parafield. The Peace Officer Guard was formed to carry out functions relating to the security of Commonwealth Establishments. Due to the involvement of the security force at the Maralinga Atomic Bomb tests, these records will be retained permanently. A number of the files are no longer housed in their original 'Attorney General's Department' file covers. These files are now housed in 'Australian Federal Police' file covers. File no.1 lists the master file index used at P.O.G. headquarters. These files also relate to this index.
