This series consists of audio tapes in cassette, 1/4" studio and 16mm 'kini' formats, maintained by both the Video Unit attached to the NSW Public Relations Office which closed in 1988 and by the NSW Sales (now Marketing) Department of Australia Post.

The tapes were collected from a variety of sources including
Headquarters, Regional Offices and radio stations. They include radio commercials made by private advertising agencies, interviews on radio with post office officials concerning strikes and other matters and recordings of proceedings at meetings and conferences. The series also features recordings of the opening of new offices and training material for staff members.

The series was not kept by the Video Unit or Sales Department in any particular order, and has been arranged by the Records Management Section in chronological order, with undated material being placed at the end of the list of items

A single number system has been imposed by NAA staff as there was no apparent range of control symbol. This series contains audiovisual formats. As audiovisual formats are either redundant or susceptible to deterioration, some items in this series have been copied to ensure their preservation. Preservation copying involves the creation of preservation, duplicating and reference copies.
