This series consists of specifications, reports and bills of quantity relating to the General Post Office, Sydney; including tower and clock 1887, proposed extensions 1911, extensions 1939, building rehabilitation 1942, report on replanning 1966, and statement of evidence to the Public Works Committee on restoration of the facade 1985. The series also contains Volumes 1 and 2 of the main building contract for the Redfern Mail Handling Branch, and documentation for repairs and renovation 1976.
