These colour posters were produced by the Commonwealth Office of Education between 1949 and 1956 for the purpose of adult migrant education. They are divided into four categories: Education Nos. 1-6; Government Nos. 1-6; Mineral Resources Nos. 1, 3-6; and miscellaneous, ie. 1. Surfing, 2. Licences, 4. Bushfires, and 5. Protected Wildflowers and Plants.
A single number system of control has been imposed by Australian Archives. The only known existing copies of these posters have been passed on to Australian Archives by Mr G. Champion of the Manly-Warringah and Pittwater Historical Society Inc. The posters were used by Mr Champion as a teaching aid for classes conducted for migrants in the early 1960's.
